When the weather permits, the Balblom Restaurant is the choice of most passengers for breakfast and lunch. This is because of the fantastic views it affords of the ocean and the ports of call that are included in the cruise itinerary you choose. There is open seating in this restaurant and the dress code is more casual than the two main restaurants.



The two main restaurants on the Black Prince are very tastefully decorated in modern themes. Even though this ship may be older than most, you would never know it through the renovations that have been made. Both the Fleur de Lys Restaurant and the Royal Garter Restaurant serve the same menus, which differ for each evening of the cruise. The Royal Garter is the larger of the two, but both have assigned seating for dinner. For breakfast and lunch, passengers can choose to sit where they please.

The stunning views from the expanse of windows in the Royal Garter Restaurant will keep you coming back each evening to take your meal in the luxurious surroundings. This is also the venue for the lavish affairs onboard, such as the Captain’s Dinner.

There is a broad selection of food choices available on the menu guaranteed to suit all tastes and preferences in food. The menu always features three main chef choices each day. For example, you can start off your meal with an appetizer of poached salmon fillet in a Chablis wine aspic served on an herb sauce. The next course is a traditional soup from Bergen, Norway and the main course is braised leg of vension served with vegetables. Finish off your meal with a delicious fresh pineapple dessert marinated in Grand Marnier and served with ice cream.
Meals can be tailored to suit your needs. For example, there are meals for diabetics and low calorie meals if you are watching your weight. The staff is eager to please and can accommodate your needs in food when you cruise on the Black Prince, making the experience a very enjoyable one.
