The entertainment aboard the Balmoral is first class from the casino to the bars and pubs. You will find a full line up of activities during the day as well as the evening hours. The Neptune Lounge is the premier destination on this cruise ship for the extravagant shows and concerts. During the day you can take part in lectures about the upcoming destination to gain more information about the sites to see and the culture of the people so that you will be better prepared for your shore excursion. The evening shows include concerts, piano recitals and Broadway shows, such as Abba.

There are no hindrances in the Neptune Lounge that will mar your sight of the stage. The design of the room is such that even though it is only one deck high, the floor slants downward towards the front giving you just as good a view from the rows at back as you have from the front rows. The entertainment is decidedly British owing to the British ownership of the cruise line. You don’t have to remain seated without a drink in your hand either because the port side of the lounge features a bar that will cater to all your needs in beverages.



The Morning Light Pub is unique to the Balmoral and is the first of its kind on any of the Fred Olsen cruise ships. It is quite large and can accommodate a crowd of people without being uncomfortable. The main walkway through the ship runs through this pub and there is always entertainment on tap as well as drinks. Sit back and enjoy the singing or simply listen to the gentle strains of a piano or guitar as you chat with your friends.
Another of the entertainment venues on the Balmoral is the Lido Bar and Lounge. Here you have an exceptional view of the pool and the ocean with the floor to ceiling windows. There is live music here in the evenings ranging from Jazz to which you can listen or music that will get you up on the dance floor. The casino is also part of this lounge with its blackjack and roulette tables. During the day, you can learn how to play these games and try your luck at the tables during the night.

Spend some time in the Observatory on the Marquee Deck where you not only have an outstanding view but you can enjoy the nautical theme of the decor. During the day there is listening music that will calm your soul and during the night, this venue becomes a nightclub extraordinaire.

If you just want to sit back and relax as you watch the sun go down over the water or whatever location the Balmoral happens to be at the time, the Marquee Bar is one entertainment venue where you will be quite comfortable. Sink into the soft leather chairs as you sip on your cool drink of choice and take in the sights and sounds of the outside as you sail away on your ship of dreams.
